Interests

I currently travel every other week for work, so I've been reading more as my other hobbies have suffered, though on the bright side I am now Platinum at both Delta and Marriott. Being at hotels has also given me reason to rebuild my laptop linux setup, something I had not needed since college. I have moved form Arch to Manjaro, and from i3 to sway, but otherwise the only real differnce is I now have it installed on an xps instead of a 10 year old thinkpad.

When not traveling I keep my homelab up to date. I cannibalized old (read cheap) hardware into server cases and now run a rack of computers. Most of my micro services I have virtualized onto one proxmox machine, but I still run my firewall, game servers, NAS, and plex from independent computers. Most of my homelab is dockerized where it makes sense, and I almost always use Ubuntu Server LTS as my OS. I also have a flashy, RGBified gaming computer, but I am not proud of that as it runs windows.

For fun I enjoy reading and hiking. I try to go camping at least 4 times every year and go to the ren faire normally at least twice. I have a DND campaign that is almost finished and that has been running almost every week for over two years now, and I have a pet cat named mocha that I spoil rotten.
